Years of trust in DAF !
The European logistics company Jost Group received the keys for a first new DAF XF 480 vehicle on Wednesday. A further 68 vehicles will follow during this month and next two months.
"Jost Group has asked for a very short delivery time to be able to use the new vehicles as quickly as possible," says Koen Van Braeken, Key Account Manager at DAF Trucks Belux. With this order, Jost Group confirms years of trust in the DAF brand.
Jost Group, which will celebrate its 60th anniversary next year, is a major European player in the integrated transport and logistics services scene. For this reason, the group has developed an impressive network through organic growth, but above all through strategic acquisitions. Only this year, the group took over Nadin's distribution, goods and express services, the Dutch Kuijpers Cargo Service (KCS) air cargo business and the Charlier group earlier this month. Jost Group employs 3,000 people in 11 European countries at 40 sites.
"Jost Group has ordered different versions of the new XF 480 with Space Cabs," explains Koen Van Braeken, Key Account Manager at DAF Trucks Belux. "This concerns both the standard version, large volume vehicles and ADR vehicles, all 4x2 tractors. " The new XF, which will soon wear Jost Group's colors, received last month the most prestigious award in the heavyweight sector : "International Truck of the Year 2018", mainly because of their fuel consumption and their emissions. Reduced CO2 (7%), additional payload (100 kg) and maximum availability (maintenance intervals up to 200,000 km). The vehicles will be deployed in the Jost Group branches in Antwerp and Herstal.
